Symptoms in the next few weeks:

• Vaginal spotting can continue for 2-3 weeks or even until the next menstruation.  
• Changes in mood, energy level, appetite, hormones, and other pregnancy symptoms may be observed and hormones come back to normal. In some people, pregnancy symptoms can go away within one or two weeks but it can continue for over a month. 

What to do after a medical abortion?

A follow-up appointment is mandatory to ensure that the abortion process is successful. In this appointment, your medical practitioner will do a quick examination such as an ultrasound or blood test. Your medical provider will also ask you if you have observed any complications during the process.
